Political reporting & investigations.

Capturing the first draft of history through reporting on American politics and investigating its terse landscape.

Political reporting experience.

I freelance for The New York Times as a correspondent, contributing to the National desk's coverage of Florida,  including the state's legislature, economy, higher education, state government, and more. I've also contributed to the Orlando Sentinel as an election coverage correspondent, as well as investigating the impact and nuance of the state's controversial camping ban legislation that criminalized homelessness in the state.

As the political beat reporter for The Charge, UCF's official student-run news outlet, in the fall 2024 semester, I wrote comprehensive pieces during election season, diving into legislation changes and breaking down the Florida ballot, including state amendments, area candidates, local advocacy groups, political student organizations, and more.

I also conducted several political investigations, including into Central Florida’s work permit reform for migrant refugees with Temporary Protected Status for The Charge, along with into the state legislature’s lack of protections for people working outdoors, relating to heat and access to water for Central Florida Public Media.
