"Tiny bits of creatures that lived more than half a billion years ago are offering new insights into a critical turning point in the history of life on Earth."
"editors are a friend to the writer, and a servant to the reader."
As an intern on the Flexible Editing Desk at The New York Times, I had the opportunity to top edit and publish digital articles from desks from all across the newsroom, adhering the the Times's distinguished style and elevated standards of excellence. I also edited newsletters, briefings, game columns, social media posts, videos, and other content. Some of the work I'm most proud of is on this page, including content I edited that made the front page.
I'm a part of the 2025 cohort of the Dow Jones News Fund multiplatform editing program, which consists of the 12 top editing students in the U.S. I'm also a part of the Florida Society of News Editors and ACES: The Society for Editing.
These are the published versions of articles I edited. If interested in the specific changes I made to the drafts, I can provide playbacks in specific cases.
I'm the editorial coordinator of The Community Paper, a local newspaper in downtown Orlando, where I edit articles by interns and reporters, as well as content by guest writers and opinion columnists.
I'm also editor-in-chief of Her Campus UCF, where I edit and publish an average of 30-40 articles every week, and manage a team of editors.
